Victorian Preservation Association - Not Just Victorians, But All Vintage Homes

Historic House Museums

Back in 1996, when our web master Matt Knowles was first introduced to the World Wide Web, he was amazed by the amount of information that was freely available. Back then the Internet was a community, not the commercial monster it has since become. He wanted to give back to this virtual community, and decided that the Internet needed a good list of historic homes that were open to the public.

For 14 years, Matt compiled and maintained this list hardcoding the HTML. Matt is currently in the process of porting the information into the database and this will take some time. If you would like to help out please contact Matt at email address below. During this conversion process it may take some time before new entries show up. During the conversion, some states will be pulled from the database, and some are hard coded. States that are being pulled from the database are listed in bold.
