| When we bought the house in 1990, it was painted a lovely combination of chartuese and goldenrod, and the paint was suffering from a bad case of alligatoring. By analyzing the paint layers we found that in the 1960s the entire exterior was turquoise, as well as most of the interior rooms. The landscaping hid much of the house from the street, which given its condition, was a blessing. |
