Matt & Lori Knowles were VPA members from 1990 to 2000 when they lived in San Jose and were restoring their 1914 Craftsman Bungalow. In 2000 they moved to Ferndale, a lovely Victorian village on the coast, 330 miles north of San Jose.

In 1996, Matt designed his first web site, and vpa.org was born. Even after his move to Ferndale, he has remained our webmaster. Starting with the VPA web site, Matt grew to love designing for the web, and it is now his full time job. His company, Aesthetic Design & Photography even includes a nod to his favorite Victorian period, the aesthetic movement.

Ferndale is a great town to visit if you love Victorians. Main Street is on the National Register, and a large portion of the homes in the town are either Victorian or Craftsman. If you’re planning a visit to Ferndale you can contact Matt through this web site and he’ll see what he can do to make your visit even more special.
